Muddy Princess Joburg South: The Ultimate Girls’ Dirty Day Out

Ladies, it is time to grab your tutus and your best friends for the messiest event on the calendar. On Sunday, 22 March 2026, the world-renowned Muddy Princess returns to the South of Johannesburg. Hosted at the scenic Rietvlei Zoo Farm, this 5km obstacle mud run is designed exclusively for women, focusing on fun, teamwork, and laughter rather than podium finishes or competitive times. Whether you are a fitness fanatic or just looking for a unique way to spend a Sunday morning, Muddy Princess welcomes participants of all sizes, ages, and fitness levels. The course encourages you to run, walk, crawl, and slide through various mud-filled obstacles, ensuring that no “Princess” crosses the finish line with a clean shirt.

What to Bring and How to Prepare

To make your experience at Rietvlei Zoo Farm as “hassle-free” as possible, the organisers recommend bringing a few essentials. Since the mud gets everywhere, don’t forget:
  • A change of clothes and a towel (showers/rinsing stations are available).
  • Garbage bags for your wet and muddy gear.
  • Sunscreen and a water bottle.
  • A sense of humour! You will get stuck, and you will need a hand from your fellow Princesses.

Supporting a Greater Cause

While the event is all about fun, Muddy Princess continues its long-standing partnership with PinkDrive. A portion of the proceeds and optional donations go toward providing life-saving breast cancer screenings and education across South Africa. By participating, you are not just making memories; you are making a difference. For more information on batch times or to secure your tickets, visit the official Muddy Princess SA website. Remember, there is no limit to team sizes, so the more, the merrier!
