Sundowner Fly-fishing Adventures is privileged to operate SunOx Fishing in collaboration with Oxbow Country Estate. SUNOX is regarded as one of the top sport & fly-fishing venues in Gauteng. There are seven fishing dams to suit the discerning sport and fly fishermen. Non fishing guests can relax and enjoy themselves on the most beautiful properties in Gauteng. You literally have a “Dullstroom-on-your-doorstep” experience in close proximity to Pretoria, Bronkhorstspruit, East Rand, Joburg and Witbank.

There are two fishing seasons.

Summer we offer bass, kurper and carp using art lure, specimen and fly fishing.
Winter we offer trout (rainbow & brown) with fly fishing only.
Day fishing permit prices:

Summer with access available on Wed (2nd & 4th), Sat, Sun & public holidays for 1 Oct to 31 April

Adult single @ R175 per fisher per day
Adult two or more @ R150 per fisher per day
Pensioner @ R150 per fisher per day
Child u12 @ R125 per fisher per day
Non fisher @ R25 per person per day

Winter with access available on Wed, Sat, Sun & public holidays for 1 May to 30 Sep

Adult (single) @ R275 per fisher per day
Adult (two or more) @ R250 per fisher per day
Adult half day Wed @ R200 per fisher per day
Pensioner @ R200 per fisher per day
Pensioner half day Wed @ R150 per fisher per day
Child u12 @ R185 per fisher per day
Child u12 half day Wed @ R125 per fisher per day

Access times

Wednesday & Sunday – 6am to 5:30pm
